Ocho Cerro del Gallo 2023, aged in Widow Jane Bourbon barrels!
Estate: Cerro del Gallo 2023
Alcohol content: 45.5% Alcohol by Volume.
“Tequila Ocho Barrel Select” is a selection of tequilas aged in our most prized barrels. For this expression, we used barrels from our friends at Widow Jane, located in Brooklyn, New York. These barrels previously held 10-year-old Widow Jane bourbon before being shipped to Arandas to be used in the creation of this Reposado, pairing our highly complex tequila—rich in agave flavor—with intense notes of caramel and spices from these barrels. Bottled at 45.5% Alc.Vol. for an extra touch of intensity.
Nose: Caramel, corn bread, vanilla, raisins, orange peel.
On the palate: Orange, salted caramel, cooked agave, and hints of cinnamon.
